These cases embody farmed mink in Europe and the United States, white-tailed deer in Canada, pet hamsters in Hong Kong, and a cat in Thailand. In most of those instances, the animals were identified to be first infected by a person who had COVID-19. Some coronaviruses trigger cold-like diseases in people, while others trigger illness in sure forms of animals, similar to cattle, camels, and bats. Some coronaviruses, similar to canine and feline coronaviruses, infect only animals and do not infect people.
